Dietitian says pizza is a healthier breakfast than cereal and we’re okay with that
At one point in our lives, we will all be guilty of it…and most people probably already are. Opening the fridge the morning after the night before and helping yourself to a nice cold slice of leftover pizza. Mmmm.
But while this may have left you feeling guilty in the past, take comfort in the fact you might have actually being doing your body a favour all along.

According to Chelsey Amer, a dietician and blogger, pizza for breakfast is often better for you than a bowl of cereal. We know, right?!
Chelsey told the Evening Standard: “You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories.
“However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.”
Unless you opt for something high in fibre and topped with fruit, many cereals are crammed with sugar. So although pizza isn’t exactly considered a ‘healthy start to the day’, it’s likely to be a better option than the latter.
But fellow dietician Priya Tew warned: “If you have a pizza that is heavily laden with cheese and pepperoni than that’s not a good decision but if it has lots of vegetables then it could be a good option.”
So a bowl of calorific frosted flakes or a nice slice of Veggie Supreme, what’ll it be? Yup, pizza every time.
